Welcome to mayobooks.ie a website specialising in books written about the beautiful county of Mayo and books written by local authors from Co. Mayo. We currently have a large range of titles in stock and we are updating and broadening our catalogue on a regular basis. Mayobooks.ie is operated from the The Castle Book and Card Centre on Castle Street in Castlebar, Co. Mayo. The Castle Bookshop has been in Castlebar for the past 30 years, providing a platform for books about Mayo.

Topaz Casey’s Castlebar
The store is located on a 1.2 acre site adjacent to the main shopping district of Castlebar. It is a 4,500 square foot shop with a large Topaz branded forecourt and ample customer car parking facilities. In June 2011 we extended the store to add a diner style Café with seating to accommodate 40 people. We are renowned for our exceptionally high standards, and consistent dedication to customer service. The store has achieved the coveted Excellence Ireland Supreme Hygiene Award for superb hygiene standards, and has received many awards over the years.
