Mayo Pink Ribbon Cycle 2018
Castlebar Cycling Club has been an integral part of the Mayo Pink Ribbon Charity Cycle since its founding in 2010. The two organisations are now official partners, with the new Club jersey proudly sporting the Mayo Pink Ribbon logo, along with their two sponsor logos – Castle Bookshop and Casey’s Centra.
The Mayo Pink Ribbon Charity Cycle is the main fundraising event for Mayo Pink Ribbon raising more than €700,000 to date. The money goes to the National Breast Cancer Research Institute in Galway to continue the fight against breast cancer.
“We could not run our Charity Cycle without the help, support and skill of Castlebar Cycling Club”, said Mayo Pink Ribbon committee member Lourda McHugh at the recent Club jersey launch, “I just can’t thank them enough for their enthusiasm and the enormous amount of work they put into the event, and always done with such good will and good humour. They’ve been with us since the very beginning, setting up the event and helping it to grow. Mayo Pink Ribbon are really honoured to be represented on the Castlebar Cycling Club jersey”.
The 2018 edition of the Mayo Pink Ribbon Cycle proved to be another huge sucess. Castlebar Cycling Club wishes to extend our congratulations to the organisers, volunteers, donors, and participants, we hope to see you all again next year on the roads of Mayo!
